Financial Assistance Program

We work to remove the barriers we can — cost, transportation, and distance. No one is turned away for inability to pay.

What is the sliding-scale fee structure?

SerenityBridge Counseling and Training Center uses a sliding-scale fee model. That means your session fee is based on your household income and family size — not a fixed rate. Clients with lower incomes pay less; clients with higher incomes pay more. The goal is to make sure cost is never the reason someone goes without care.

You do not need insurance to receive services. We are a self-pay practice. If you have insurance, you are welcome to use it for reimbursement on your own, but we do not bill insurance directly.

How it works

1

Request an appointment

Contact us by phone or through the form on our website. Let us know you'd like to discuss financial assistance.

2

Complete the application

Download and complete the Financial Assistance Plan application. You'll provide basic information about your household income and family size.

3

We determine your fee

A member of our team will review your application and determine your adjusted session fee. We'll walk you through the result before your first appointment.

4

Begin care

Once your fee is set, you're ready to schedule. Your adjusted rate stays in place as long as your financial situation remains the same.

Common questions

What if I can't afford even the reduced rate?

Talk to us. We will do our best to find a workable arrangement. No one is turned away for inability to pay.

Do I need to prove my income?

Yes. We do ask for your most recent check stubs for income verification. We also ask for basic household income and family size information on the application. This helps us determine an accurate and fair adjusted fee for your sessions.

Does the sliding scale apply to all services?

Yes. The sliding-scale fee structure applies to individual counseling, family therapy, couples therapy, and child and adolescent therapy.

Can my fee change over time?

Yes. If your financial situation changes — in either direction — you can request a reassessment at any time.
